Eventuri Intake BMW F13 M6 Black Carbon
EVE-F1XM6-INT
BMW F13 M6 Intake
The Eventuri intake system for F12/F13/F06 M6 models has been developed through extensive dyno testing, maximum speed testing, and airflow optimization. We have created a complete system that covers from the front inlets to filter housings, and even inlet tubes for the turbochargers. The result is a highly efficient system that reduces resistance for the turbochargers, providing a smooth airflow path.
Eventuri Difference:
The Eventuri system for F12/F13/F06 M6 models utilizes our patented carbon fiber housing, which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. This is not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that induces the Venturi effect. More information about the housing design and its operation can be found HERE.
Eventuri BMW F13 M6 Kit
The Eventuri intake system for F13 M6 models consists of several components designed to perform specific tasks and crafted with the utmost precision.
Each intake system consists of:
- 2 carbon fiber fan housings
- 2 high-flow dual cone air filters
- 2 aluminum hoods providing smooth air introduction
- Left carbon fiber tube with integrated MAF sensor mount
- Right carbon fiber tube with integrated MAF sensor mount
- 2 front carbon fiber air channels
- 2 front air channel extensions made of carbon fiber
- 2 laser-cut aluminum discs with integrated flow deflectors
- High-quality silicone connectors with BMW standard clamps
Carbon Fiber Housings
The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum covers, and carbon capsules themselves. These capsules surround the reverse-mounted filters and smoothly shape the airflow downward to the intake tubes. This smooth decrease in cross-sectional area induces the Venturi effect, where the airflow accelerates while still maintaining laminar conditions. This can be compared to a large stack of velocity - below is a diagram comparing our patented design with a regular intake system.
Carbon Fiber Intake Tubes
The Eventuri intake tubes are made entirely of carbon fiber. Each tube has an integrated MAF sensor mount, which is CNC-machined from aluminum. The tubes smoothly connect the filter housings to the turbo inlets and eliminate bent flexible hoses, which significantly disrupt airflow. We have ensured that the carbon tubes maintain a truly circular cross-section - even at the MAF sensor mount - to provide the best flow characteristics.
Carbon Fiber Air Inlets
The final components made of carbon fiber in this system are the air inlets - crucial for directing surrounding air to the filters.
The inlets are designed for maximum efficiency in directing incoming air to the standard channel openings. Many inlets available on the market have a large flat surface almost perpendicular to the incoming air - which is not conducive to directing it into the channels, as the airflow simply "hits" this flat part and creates turbulence. For the M6 versions, we have also added 2 air inlet extensions made of carbon fiber to connect the inlets to the front grilles. This provides a continuous path for incoming air through the inlets to the standard channels.
Unlike most inlets available on the market, Eventuri inlets are designed to extend from the standard channel openings to the grilles. To capture as much air as possible, the inlets have the same shape as the external contours of the grilles and then smoothly guide surrounding air through a continuous curve to the channel openings. CAD images to illustrate the shape:
Ensuring effective cold air supply to the filters is an essential part of our design. Simply placing a few heat shields is not an effective way to avoid delivering heated air to the filters unless these shields create a sealed enclosure around the filters. In our system, the inlets and shields come together to provide the filter openings access to ambient air and maintain a low temperature of the intake air.
Installation of the inlets is simple - just press them onto the existing crossbeam, and then hold them in place with the front grille.
Flow Deflector Cover
The filter is positioned with holes concealed inside the flow deflectors cover. These holes capture the cold air flowing in from the front inlets and help expel warm air from the filter holes. Below is a CAD image illustrating the configuration of the filter housings and inlets. The space between the inlets is occupied by standard ducts. To illustrate - here are the assembled left and right inlets as if they were mounted in the engine bay along with the tubes and ducts:
