The intake system for the F87 M2 Competition has been designed to allow the turbochargers to operate more efficiently. By replacing the standard Airbox system with our patented Venturi filter housings and smoothly curved tubes, the airflow to the turbochargers becomes more laminar, allowing them to work with less resistance. Since the M2 Competition does not have air ducts behind the grilles, we have also added sealed ducts to ensure that the intake temperature remains as low as possible. The combination of our Venturi housings, organically shaped tubes, and sealed ducts provides an optimized intake that sets the standard for this platform.

Eventuri Difference

The M2 Competition Eventuri system utilizes our patented carbon fiber housings with our Gen 2 filters, which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbochargers. This is not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that induces the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce resistance on the turbochargers. Performance Testing

Below is a dyno chart showing a comparison between the Eventuri system and the standard Airbox in the M2 Competition. The car had no other modifications. As you can see, power and torque are increased across a wide range of RPMs. This means improved response both at low and high throttle, with the car eagerly accelerating to the redline. The tests were conducted on the same consecutive day, and temperatures were monitored to ensure consistency. The hood was closed during all tests.

The Eventuri intake system for the M2 Competition consists of a series of components designed to fulfill a specific purpose and crafted with the utmost precision.

Each intake system consists of:

• 2 x Patented carbon fiber Venturi housings
• 2 x Individually crafted high-flow Gen 2 filters
• 2 x Aluminum covers for smooth airflow
• Left carbon fiber tube with integrated MAF sensor mount
• Right carbon fiber tube with integrated MAF sensor mount
• 2 x Carbon fiber intake ducts
• Laser-cut stainless steel brackets
• High-quality silicone connectors with BMW specification hose clamps

Carbon Fiber Filter Housings

The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum covers, V-Band clamps, laser-cut brackets, and the patented carbon fiber capsules themselves. The carbon fiber capsules surround the reverse-mounted filter and smoothly shape the airflow down to the intake tubes. This geometry induces the Venturi effect, where the airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. This can be compared to a large velocity cone - below is a diagram comparing our patented design with a regular intake system. Our individually crafted filters aid airflow through the housings and allow for uniform speed profiling as the airflow exits the housings.

Carbon Fiber Air Inlets

The filter housings are placed with sealed holes snugly fitting the carbon tubes. These tubes are designed to fit the standard cold air ducting channels and direct ambient air to the filters. These ducts seal the openings of the filter housings and prevent hot air from reaching the filters.

Carbon Fiber Intake Tubes

Our intake tubes are made from 100% impregnated carbon fiber. Each tube has an integrated MAF sensor mount, which is CNC-machined from aluminum. The shorter intake tube on the left smoothly transitions from the carbon housing to the turbocharger inlet tube. The longer intake tube on the right side needs to bypass the fan shroud and beam support. To achieve this, we applied the same basic idea as in the standard tube, changing the cross-section from circular at the turbocharger inlet tube to oval to pass over the shroud, and then back to circular at the end of the filter housing. We ensured that these transitions are gradual to not disrupt the airflow, and we maintained the same cross-sectional area to maintain a constant flow velocity through the tube.

All of these components come together in the engine bay, creating a genuine improvement in the driving experience while providing an incredible visual effect of form and function that harmoniously blend.
