BMW F10 M5 Intake
The intake system for the F10 M5 has been developed based on extensive dyno testing, maximum speed testing, and airflow optimization. They've created a complete system that includes air intake channels, filter housings, and even intake tubes for the turbochargers. The result is a highly efficient system that reduces resistance for the turbochargers, providing a smooth airflow path.
Eventuri Difference
The F10 M5 Eventuri intake utilizes our patented carbon fiber housings, which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. This is not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that utilizes the Venturi effect. More information about the housing design and its operation can be found HERE.
Eventuri BMW F10 M5 Kit

The Eventuri intake system for the F10 M5 consists of several components designed to perform specific tasks and crafted with the utmost precision.
Each intake system consists of:
- 2 carbon fiber fan housings
- 2 high-flow dual cone air filters
- 2 aluminum shields for smooth airflow entry
- Left carbon fiber tube with integrated MAF sensor mount
- Right carbon fiber tube with integrated MAF sensor mount
- 2 front carbon fiber air channels
- 2 aluminum heat shields with built-in airflow deflectors
- High-quality silicone connectors with BMW specification clamps
Eventuri Filter Housings

The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum covers, and carbon capsules themselves. The carbon capsules surround the reverse-mounted filters and smoothly shape the airflow downward to the intake tubes. This smooth decrease in cross-sectional area creates the Venturi effect, where the airflow accelerates while still maintaining laminar conditions. This can be likened to a large velocity cone - below is a diagram comparing our patented design with a traditional intake system.

Carbon Fiber Intake Tubes

The Eventuri intake tubes are made entirely of carbon fiber. Each tube has an integrated MAF sensor mount, CNC-machined from aluminum. The tubes connect the filter housings to the turbo inlets and eliminate the flexible bellows used in standard solutions, which have a more unfavorable airflow path. We've ensured that the carbon tubes maintain a truly circular cross-section - even at the MAF sensor mount - for the best possible flow characteristics.
Patented Air Inlets

The final components made of carbon fiber in this system are the front air inlets - crucial for directing surrounding air to the filters.
The inlets are designed for maximum efficiency in directing incoming air to the factory inlet openings. Many external air inlets have a large flat surface almost perpendicular to the incoming air - which does not aid in directing it into the inlet channels, as the airflow simply "hits" this flat part and creates turbulence.
Unlike most external air inlets, Eventuri inlets are designed to extend from the factory inlet openings to the grilles. To capture as much air as possible, the inlets have the contours of the outer grille and then smoothly guide incoming air through a continuous curve to the inlet openings. Here are CAD images illustrating the shape:

Ensuring effective cooling of the filters with cold air is a crucial element of this design. Simply placing heat shields is not enough to effectively prevent hot air from reaching the filters unless the shields create a tight enclosure around the filters. In our system, the inlets and shields combine to provide the filter openings with cool air from the surroundings and maintain a low intake air temperature.
Installation of the inlets is straightforward - simply press them into the existing crossbar grille and hold them in place with the front grilles.
Air Flow Shields

The filter tube is placed with submerged openings in airflow shields. These shields capture the cold air coming from the inlets and help push out hot air around the filter openings. Here is a CAD image illustrating the configuration of the filter housings, and inlets. The gap between the inlets and shields is filled with factory air channels.
For illustration purposes - here are the left and right side inlets assembled as if they were in the engine bay, along with the tubes and channels:
