Our updated F22 N55/M2 Eventuri intake system is a perfect example of our "Complete System" principle. It clearly demonstrates the excellent balance between providing smooth airflow to our Venturi housing and cold air saturation thanks to our flap and new combination of sealed ducts. The new sealed flap and heat shield ensure that heat from the engine bay is kept away from the filter, minimizing the intake air temperature (IAT). Every detail has been meticulously crafted, from the impregnated carbon fiber components to the precise work on the brackets. This intake system sets a new standard in design and craftsmanship for F22 and F87 platforms. It also fits M135i and M235i models with the N55 engine.

Eventuri Kit for BMW N55

The Eventuri intake system for the F87 M2 with the N55 engine consists of a series of components designed to fulfill a specific purpose and crafted with the utmost precision.

Each intake system consists of:

• Impregnated carbon fiber Venturi housing
• Individually crafted high-flow Gen 2 cone filter
• Impregnated carbon fiber sealed duct
• Impregnated carbon fiber intake tube with integrated MAF sensor mount
• Impregnated carbon fiber inlet flap
• Laser-cut stainless steel heat shield
• Laser-cut stainless steel brackets
• High-quality silicone connectors with BMW specification hose clamps

Carbon Fiber Housing

The filter housing consists of a high-flow filter, aluminum cover, laser-cut bracket, and the carbon fiber capsule itself. The carbon fiber capsule surrounds the reverse-mounted filter and smoothly shapes the airflow down to the intake tube. This smooth decrease in cross-sectional area induces the Venturi effect, where the airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. This can be compared to a large velocity cone - below is a diagram comparing our patented design with the standard intake system design.

Carbon Fiber Intake Tube with Heat Shield

The filter housing is positioned with a sealed hole snugly fitting the new carbon duct. This carbon duct is designed to fit the standard cold air duct and direct ambient air from the flap to the filter. It seals against heat from the engine bay while allowing some access to cold-side engine bay air, where the flap meets the rear spoiler. Additionally, on the side is a heat shield that blocks hot air from the radiator and alternator from directly impacting the carbon fiber housing. This shield reduces direct heat saturation of the carbon fiber housing, contributing to maintaining a low intake air temperature (IAT).

Carbon Fiber Intake Tube

The Eventuri intake tube is made entirely of 100% impregnated carbon fiber. Each tube features an integrated MAF sensor mount and breather adapter, which are CNC-machined from aluminum. The inlet tube is designed to provide a smooth path for airflow from the filter to the standard turbo inlet tube. To bypass the fan shroud, we smoothly changed the cross-section from circular to oval and maintained a constant cross-sectional area. This ensures that the airflow remains laminar and allows the turbocharger to operate with minimal resistance.

Air Inlet

The inlet is designed for maximum efficiency in directing incoming air to the standard duct openings. Many aftermarket inlets have a large flat surface almost perpendicular to incoming air - which is not favorable for directing it to the ducts, as the airflow simply "hits" that flat part and creates turbulence.

The Eventuri inlet is designed to sit directly behind the radiator grilles to capture as much air as possible, with a continuous curve leading to the duct openings to ensure that this airflow is effectively directed. Having effective ambient air filter feed is a crucial part of our design. Simply placing some heat shields is not an effective means of preventing hot air from entering the filters unless those shields create a sealed environment around the filters. The inlets and ducts in our system work together to deliver ambient air to the filter openings and maintain a low intake air temperature.
