Eventuri Intake Audi B8 RS5 / RS4 Carbon
AUDI B8 RS5 / RS4 Intake
Performance gain: 15-20 HP, 12-18 Nm (At the Wheels)
The Audi RS5/RS4 Eventuri intake was developed in consultation and with the support of RS5 enthusiasts. They completely redesigned the intake path from the ducts to the filters and intake pipes. Standard airboxes and intake ducts were replaced with a highly efficient, fully sealed system with smooth transitions to maintain full and laminar airflow. The results in terms of performance gains, sound, and aesthetics are industry-leading for this platform.
Eventuri Difference
The RS5/RS4 Eventuri system utilizes our patented carbon fiber housings, which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filters to the throttle bodies. This is not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that invokes the Venturi effect. More information about the housing design and its operation can be found HERE.
Performance Tests
Below is an independent dyno chart showing a comparison between the Eventuri system and standard Airboxes on a standard RS5 model. As can be seen, power increases across a wide range of revs, not just at peak rpm. This translates on the road to increased throttle response at both partial and full throttle, with the car accelerating much more smoothly to the redline. The tests were conducted on the same day in a back-to-back mode, and temperatures were monitored to ensure consistency. The car was tested first with the standard intake - hood closed. Then we left the car on the dyno and installed the Eventuri. The car was then run again - hood closed. Several runs were made with both configurations to obtain a consistent result. As dyno results vary between runs - for fairness, we decided to publish the results using the highest standard run compared to the highest Eventuri run. Here you can see the two best runs with both configurations.
We could show the highest value achieved with Eventuri compared to the lowest achieved with the standard configuration, but that wouldn't be a fair comparison. Just to illustrate the difference, here's a chart showing the highest value achieved with Eventuri compared to the lowest achieved with the standard configuration, recorded on the same day, showing a gain of over 32 HP at the wheels.
Here's another chart showing the difference between standard Airboxes and Eventuri intake system - this time on the B8 RS4 model. Dyno runs were performed on the same day, and the car remained strapped to the dyno during installation to ensure consistent belt tension during both tests. Here we can see a significant increase in both torque and power - gaining 25 Nm of torque in the mid-range and 25 HP before peak rpm.
Eventuri Audi RS5 / RS4 B8 Kit
The Eventuri B8 RS5/RS4 intake system consists of several components designed to achieve a specific goal and made from the highest quality materials. Here are the details of each component and the idea behind them:
Each intake system consists of:
2 carbon fiber air filter housings
2 dual cone high-flow air filters
2 aluminum bellmouths providing smooth airflow entry
2 carbon fiber intake pipes with integrated crankcase breather ports
2 carbon fiber intake ducts
2 front air duct extensions made of laser-cut stainless steel
High-quality stainless steel heat shields with reflective lining
High-quality OEM-standard silicone connectors and clamps
Crankcase breather hose removal tool
Carbon Fiber Intake Housing Kits
The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum bellmouths, V-Band clamp, laser-cut mounts, and the carbon fiber capsules themselves. The carbon fiber capsules surround the inverted filter and smoothly shape the airflow down to the intake pipes. This smooth cross-sectional area reduction induces the Venturi effect, where airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. This can be likened to a large stack of speeds - below is a diagram showing a comparison between our patented design and a regular intake system.
Carbon Fiber Intake Pipes
The ducts channel atmospheric air from the bellmouths to the filter housings. They mate to the OEM air routing system and smoothly transition into the round shape of the filter housing. To ensure a good seal against engine bay heat, the ducts also have a flexible rubber edge around the openings, which presses against the filter housings, creating the desired seal while allowing the housings to move with the engine. These geometrically complex components are a key part of our B8 design.
Carbon Fiber Intake Pipes
Eventuri intake pipes are again made from 100% pre-preg carbon fiber. Each pipe has an integrated crankcase breather port, which is CNC machined from aluminum. The pipes smoothly guide airflow to the throttle bodies, ensuring no sharp or sudden bends. The smooth geometry of the bends ensures laminar airflow maintenance from the filters to the outlets.
Carbon Fiber Air Inlets
The final carbon fiber components in this system are the front air inlets - essential for directing atmospheric air to the ducts and then to the filters.
The inlets are designed with a constant radius bend to maximize the efficiency of directing incoming air to the duct openings. They allow for maintaining the lowest possible intake air temperature and increase the rate of intake temperature decrease after the system heats up during idle.
