The AMG GTR Eventuri air intake is a fully sealed system developed through extensive real-world testing and airflow simulation analysis. It features our patented Venturi housings, which provide the smoothest airflow to the turbocharger inlets. The housings surround our specially designed filters, which help shape airflow and maintain laminar conditions. The internal volume of the housings has been maximized to reduce restrictions, which led to redesigning the factory mid cover that conflicts with the much larger system. Finally, inlet air temperatures are maintained at a constant level through ducting that seals to the filter housings. The AMG GTR intake system has been independently tested by the world-leading Mercedes tuning company - RENNtech, proving to enhance performance both on stock engines and after tuning. Each system includes a carbon fiber mid-cover.

Eventuri Difference

The C190/R190 AMG GTR Eventuri system utilizes our patented carbon fiber housings with our Gen 2 filters, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbochargers. It's not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that induces the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce turbocharger resistance. Performance Test

Tests were conducted on a dyno at RENNtech in the USA, comparing stock GTR and GTR with our ECU tune-up, comparing the factory airbox with our intake system. As shown below, our intake provides performance gains across the entire RPM range. Detailed power and torque results for each configuration are summarized below. In some areas, mid-range increases are higher than the peak values declared, as seen on the charts. The resulting benefits are noticeable on the road, with improved throttle response and acceleration times.

Eventuri Kit for Mercedes C190 / R190 AMG GTR / GTS / GT

The Eventuri AMG GT intake system consists of several components designed to meet specific goals and made with the utmost care. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fiber excluding glass fiber, meaning we can achieve a smooth internal surface to maintain smoother airflow.

Each intake system includes:

• 2 x patented carbon fiber Venturi cone filter housings
• 2 x individually crafted high-flow cone air filters
• 2 x carbon fiber inlet ducts
• 1 x carbon fiber mid-cover
• 2 x stainless steel CNC machined outlet flanges
• 2 x CNC machined MAP sensor adapters
• Thermal shields
• Laser-cut stainless steel brackets

Cone Filter Housing

The AMG GT filter housings consist of individually crafted high-flow filters, aluminum covers, laser-cut brackets, and carbon fiber housings themselves. The carbon fiber cover surrounds the filter mounted in reverse, smoothly shaping airflow towards the turbocharger. This smooth reduction in cross-sectional area induces the Venturi effect, where internal pressure decreases, maintaining laminar flow conditions. You can imagine it as a large stack of velocities - below is a diagram comparing our patented design with a regular intake system. The housings replace the factory airbox and flexible intake hoses, providing a more direct airflow path due to the one-piece construction.

Middle Carbon Fiber Cover

The internal volume of the filter housings has been maximized to eliminate restrictions on the airflow path to the turbocharger. As a result, the factory engine cover had to be modified to prevent interference with the housings. We therefore designed a new cover that allows for the installation of larger filter housings and gives a finished look to the engine bay. The new cover is made of carbon fiber and features a V-pattern carbon weave, providing symmetry for the entire intake system. Additionally, a concave recess has been made in the cover, allowing for the mounting of the engine serial number plate from the factory cover.

Carbon Fiber Inlets

The ducts channel ambient air from the front grille to the filter housings. They connect to the factory air duct system and smoothly transition into the round shape of the filter housings. To ensure proper fitment and heat sealing from the engine bay, flexible rubber gaskets are placed around the openings, which adhere to the filter housings, creating the desired seal while allowing the housings to move with the engine. The volume of the ducts has been maximized to fully utilize the available space. The underside of the ducts shows our efforts to provide perfect fitment while allowing for maneuverability around objects in the engine bay area.

These components come together, providing enhancements to the AMG GT engine in terms of performance, sound, and aesthetics. They are available in carbon fiber finishes: glossy and matte.
